Youth dies after he falls into pit dug for road repair

Mangaluru: A 22-year-old man died after he fell into a pit dug in connection with road works on Sunday, November 3.

The deceased is Prajwal Acharya (22), son of Purushotham Acharya. He used to work for a shop at Yedapadavu.

The incident took place while was returning after attending the funeral of the friend’s father. The rider of the motorbike, Deekshan from Iruvathur, in whose bike Prajwal was returning home, lost sight of the pit and fell into the pit along with his motorbike. Though he was taken to a private hospital in Mangaluru, he scummed to his injuries on Sunday morning, informed sources.

The local police have registered a case in this regard and are investigating.
