Youth dies after tanker rams into bike near Melkar

Bantwal: A youth lost his life after a tanker rammed into the two-wheeler that he was riding at Bolangady near Melkar on Monday night, October 29th. The deceased has been identified as Hasan Shahiq (28). He hailed from Kelinja in Vittal.

Hasan was employed in a burqa shop in Moodbidri and used to travel by bus from Moodbidri to BC Road and from there to his residence by his two-wheeler. On the eventful day, he was on his way home when the tragedy struck. The critically injured Hasan was immediately rushed to the Bantwal Government Hospital where he breathed his last. The tanker driver who escaped soon after the mishap was later nabbed at Mittur.
