Youth drown in a rivulet

Udupi: Two youth who went swimming at a rivulet lost their lives due to drowning on Thursday.

The deceased have been identified as Kiran Poojary (24) from Manikallu, and Vikram Poojary (23).

It has been reported that, the two were cousins ventured into the rivulet at Anegundi in Seetanadi. Some suspect that since Kiran, suffered from epilepsy, he would have suffered seizures when in water, and Vikram would have rushed to his help but drowned.

The mortal remains were transported to Brahmavar government hospital for postmortem. Kota police sub-inspector, Santosh Kaikini and other personnel visited the spot and registered a case.
