Youth drowns in Varada river while trying to rescue buffaloes

Haveri: A 28-old-man drowned in Varada River in the Hanagal Taluk in the district while he was trying to rescue buffalos that were stranded in the river on Sunday, August 29.

As per sources, Chandrappa Dalavayi went to rescue five buffaloes that were trapped in the middle of the river. However, the river was flowing in full force due to heavy rains and he drowned in the river

Fire brigade personnel have launched a search operation to find the youth.

The incident is reported in the Adur police station scope.
