Youth falls to death at Gokak water falls

Gokak: An Eid excursion turned tragic for a youth who was out to have a fun time with his friends at the Gokak water falls. 

35-year-old Ramjan Hussain Kaaji slipped and fell to death from a height of about 40 feet, on Saturday (June 16) evening while trying to wander nearer to the falls. It is said that he had reached the falls with his friends and the group had been consuming liquor. 

A video of the incident recorded on a cellphone has gone viral in and fills in as a reminder that individuals should be very careful while going near falls. 

A case is enlisted in Gokak Police station.
