Youth jumps from 4th floor of hospital bldg, survives second suicide attempt

Mangaluru: A 28-year-old youth allegedly attempted suicide, for the second time within a span of four days, by jumping from the fourth floor of a hospital at Falnir in the city on September 20.
The youth identified as Naveen Kumar is a native of Mysuru who is currently residing at Attavara.
Reportedly Naveen had been admitted to the hospital on September 17 after he tried to end his life by consuming phenyl at his residence. He was showing signs of recovery, however, on Thursday afternoon at around 3.15 pm, he jumped off the fourth floor of the hospital building by breaking open the window.
A critically injured Naveen was admitted to the hospital’s intensive care unit
A case was registered at Kadri station.
