Youth murder case: Ban on liquor sale; Sec 144 imposed in Surathkal, Mulki, Bajpe, Panambur

Mangaluru: The city police have imposed Section 144 under Surathkal, Mulki, Bajpe, Panambur police station limits till Saturday, July 30 morning, following Fazil’s murder.

The decision has been taken in order to maintain law and order in the city.

As a precautionary measure the police have banned sale of liquor in Surathkal, Mulki, Bajpe, Panambur.

A holiday has been declared for schools and colleges in Surathkal, Mulki, Bajpe and Panambur on Friday, July 29.

Speaking on the issue police commissioner Shashi Kumar requested the people not to spread rumours on social media platforms.

Fazil who was attacked by assailants here on July 28 succumbed to injuries at the hospital.
