Yuva Nidhi scheme: Registrations to commence from Dec 21, says DKS

Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar on Tuesday announced that the Congress government is all set to implement its fifth poll guarantee ‘Yuva Nidhi’. The commencement of registrations for the scheme is slated to begin on December 21.
The responsibility for the implementation of this scheme to the Ministry of Skill Development. The scheme will be inaugurated in January and the official date will be announced soon by the minister, informed the Deputy Chief Minister.
Yuva Nidhi scheme:
‘Yuva Nidhi’ promises to give financial assistance of Rs 3,000 and Rs 1,500 a month to unemployed graduates and diploma holders, respectively, who fail to get a job even after six months of clearing their exams in the 2022-23 academic year.
The scheme offers a monthly stipend until the youth secures employment or for a maximum of two years.
To register as the beneficiary for the scheme, an applicant must register through the Seva Sindhu portal and undergo independent scrutiny of their unemployment status. The scheme benefits will be received via DBT.
Applicants will face strict penalties, including legal consequences if they provide false information or fail to declare their job status after obtaining employment.
