Late Dr. Rajkumar’s grandson and Raghavendra Rajkumar’s son, Yuvarajkumar (also known as Guru Rajkumar), is reportedly heading for a divorce. Yuva Rajkumar has sent a divorce notice to his wife, Sridevi Byrappa, to end their marriage.

According to reports, Yuvrajkumar filed for divorce in the family court on June 6. The couple, who fell in love and got married, are now seeking separation. Reports state that Yuvarajkumar filed for divorce citing disrespect and mental cruelty.

A hearing in the family court is scheduled for July 4.

This is the first divorce case reported in the Dr Rajkumar family. Sridevi, currently in the USA, has reportedly been sent the divorce notice.

Who is Sridevi?

Yuvarajkumar and Sridevi had first met in Delhi, became friends, and later fell in love. They were in a relationship for seven years before getting married.

Sridevi Byrappa is originally from Mysuru. She completed her education and higher studies there. She managed the Civil Service Academy run by Dr. Rajkumar’s family.

She supported Yuvarajkumar and even participated in promoting his film “Run Antony.”

In 2019, with the approval of both families, they got married. Raghavendra Rajkumar treated Sridevi like a daughter and affectionately called her his daughter.

Sridevi also took on responsibilities at the Dr. Rajkumar Civil Services Academy.

Marital discord:

Reports suggest that Yuvrajkumar and Sridevi’s marriage has hit a rough patch. The couple has been living separately for the past four months.

Recently, Sridevi was absent during the promotion of Yuvrajkumar’s latest movie, “Yuvaraj.”
