Zero traffic corridor from Shimoga to Bengaluru to save 7-day-old baby

Shimoga: A zero traffic corridor has been arranged from Shimoga to Bengaluru to save the life of a 7-day-old baby suffering from a heart ailment.

The baby’s parents Swami and Sudha are from Belimallur village in Honnali taluk of Davanagere district. The baby is suffering from ventricular septal defect (VSD) also known as ‘hole in the heart.’

The baby is being taken to Bengaluru’s Jayadeva Hospital after recommendations from the McGann District Hospital at Shimoga.

The baby has been carried from McGann hospital at 8:15 a.m. with police escort.
