Zoom admits that it does not have 300 million active ‘users’

Video conferencing app Zoom had earlier claimed that it had 300 million daily active users on its platform. Now, the company has corrected the misleading figure saying that it has 300 million daily meeting participants and not users
On April 22, Zoom blog had announced a 50% jump in users over three weeks, now it has been edited to say that the company had surpassed “300 million daily Zoom meeting participants” instead of “more than 300 million daily users”.Daily active users is a standard industry metric measuring the number of unique users per day.
Regarding this issue, Zoom said, “We unintentionally referred to these participants as ‘users’ and ‘people.’ When we realised this error, we adjusted the wording to ‘participants’
