How a School uniform in Mexico made detecting malnutrition in children easy?
Team Udayavani
Millions of people are suffering from different forms of malnutrition in the world. Globally in 2020, 149 million children under 5 were estimated to be stunted (too short for age), 45 million were estimated to be wasted (too thin for height), and 38.9 million were overweight or obese.
But its detection is tricky because while children might appear healthy at first sight, there are chances they might be malnourished.
In order to deal with this undetectable problem, Kellogg’s came up with an easy approach to identify the lack of nourishment in children using school uniforms.
